The Self-Evident Truth: A Plea To America

The shoe is now on the other foot in Michigan and for the most part; the United States of America. Incumbent establishment politicians found themselves being bounced out of office in unprecedented landslide elections around the rust belt & heartland (fly-over country) of America. The south once again found Republicans taking power that they had lost back in 08 & 06. In New England & the left coast the Democrats found themselves a drink at the bar to drown out the sorrow of a night of “shellacking” while remaining thankful that they somehow had constituents dumb enough to elect (& re-elect) them to power. They then made their ways to their respective bathrooms where they wiped themselves, changed their underwear, and gave praise at their little George Soros shrines.

As much as the Democrats and MSNBC went on to say that Tuesday night was a “shellacking fest” and downplayed it as a bunch of uninformed angry citizens who didn’t understand the improvement and relief that the Obama-nomic policies have brought to them; it’s not going to work this time…

…and it’s about damn time.

On November 2nd, 2010, American voters sent a message to Washington that they’re not happy with the change they’ve received. In a unified voice this nation rose up and demanded accountability and proper representation. In a unified force, this nation rose up and smacked the progressive elite across the face. Americans are not happy about the fact that on January 1st, 2011, they’re going to be hit with a wave of unprecedented historic tax hikes that the government won’t and can’t even elaborate publicly about. They’re not happy about Obamacare (which Chris Matthews fails to realize or doesn’t want to admit cut millions of dollars from Medicare to fund) and the costs to future generations that the bureaucratic nightmare will bring. They’re not happy about establishment dinosaur politicians talking down on their constituencies and using the Constitution as toilet paper. They’re not happy that the money that they’ve saved and invested to pass down to their children is going to be taxed at 55% (on top of the taxation that already exists over a lifetime in which most of us are already giving half of what we make away to these political hacks to spend on special interest) just by the mere act of dying.

So what does this mean? Well for John Boehner and the Republicans the answer is simple. The American people have elected you and entrusted you to do the will of THE AMERICAN TAXPAYER. This means there is no room for compromise with big special interests and big government lobbyists. There are no smokey backroom deals. There are no second chances. Cut the spending. Throw out the Keynesian policies. Free up the markets and reestablish laissez-faire tendencies in our economic policies.
Most importantly and I stress MOST IMPORTANTLY: EXTEND THE BUSH TAX CUTS. Our economy depends on it. The American people cannot afford the tax increases. If the average middle class American worker isn’t crushed by the initial effects of the tax hikes, the subsequent increases in costs of goods and services, that will have to be implemented by corporations offsetting their own tax burden, will completely wipe out the middle class.

The bottom line for the GOP is this: play games like you did during the Bush Administration and you’d better be wearing a helmet because the American voter will have no problem drop kicking you out onto the curb of E. Capitol Street like they did the Democrats.

We did not elect Republicans under the pretense that the GOP is “desirable.“ The American people are just as sick of the GOP as they were of them in 2008 when Obama was elected. The only thing that redeemed the GOP was an assurgency of grassroots (the “Astroturf” as Grandma Pelosi put it) DC outsiders that really appealed to people. If they succumb to the business as usual mentality of the Beltway bubble--they’ll find themselves out of a job at primary time before you can even say “preliminary elections”. This is the America that exists now. This is what happens when people are out of work. They pay attention.

The danger that exists in the coming two months is that congressional Democrats are now lame ducks and the Senate is still controlled by liberals. Mark my words these people don’t care about compromise. Obama made it clear when he referred to his political opponents and critics in this country as “enemies” that he does not care about compromise. This is a man who enforced a rule upon the White House insisting that people refrain from referring to violent Muslim fundamentalists as “terrorists”. There was no slip of the tongue. The President does not care about anything other than his agenda. These people (Obama, Pelosi, Reid, etc.) honestly believe that they have a God bestowed duty to control us because we aren’t capable of making decisions without them. You don’t believe me? Look at Obamacare and actually read what it in consists of. There is nothing compassionate about it. It doesn’t exist for compassion. It exists to create layers and layers and layers of bureaucrats and committees at the expense of the taxpayer to control the population. If it was such a great plan why are the Three Branches exempt from its regulations and stipulations? Why do they get the opportunity to opt out?

Oh but Joe, it doesn’t say anything about death panels or review committees in the health care bill. You’re right it‘s not in the Health Care Bill. It’s because those pieces of legislation were passed through in the Stimulus Package as well as an assortment of other previously conceived bills over the course of this progressive congressional nightmare since it’s inception in 2006. This is not a case of political debate anymore. They want your freedom.

Remember. You are the enemy.

The establishment will not go down without a fight. Obama will not go down without a fight. The special interest groups (George Soros) will not go down without a fight. However, until 2012 comes around there is nothing that we can do about their actions besides remain vigilant and active at a grassroots level. Just because the reigns of power in the House will be transferred from one party to the other does not mean that we can breathe easy. Beware of any politician that says, “Well you know we need to look at what we can keep the same and compromise on.” Your rights to make your own decisions about your life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness are not negotiable. They are not a matter of partisan compromise. They are God given. Never has a free society successfully existed under the notion that the distribution of rights come from one man to another. Our battle cry, The Declaration of Independence, defined the central idea of what would become America, the idea.

“We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and The Pursuit of Happiness. That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, DERIVING THEIR JUST POWERS FROM THE CONSENT OF THE GOVERNED, ---That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the RIGHT OF THE PEOPLE TO ALTER OR ABOLISH IT, and to institute new Government…”

America was not built on the philosophy of oppression. It was built in retaliation to monarchy. It was built in protest to taxation without representation. It was built on the yearning to be free. America is alone in that belief. We are the great social and economic experiment. We cannot let it fail. This is our duty.

The shoe is on the other foot. We have the opportunity here to move forward. The question is, “Will we?” We get the government we deserve and if we fail we have no one else to blame but ourselves.

  1. The American people were angry and dissatisfied that Obama failed to clean up, in his two years of office, George Bush's eight years of destruction and went running back to the people who got us in the mess in the first place.

    From what you have written I am assuming you have hope with the Republicans in office and because you seen like a knowledgeable guy it makes me feel a little eased. But I really fucking hope you are right, because my Democratic worshiping family has instilled a great amount of fear in me.

  2. I don't know if I have hope in any of these people. I just know that if the GOP(if they're smart and 9 times out of 10 they're not)wants to ever maintain power again they'd better listen to their constituents. We cannot survive as a country following the Keynesian economic policies that both the Bush Administration & Obama administration follow. We can't afford to put the future generations into years of debt before they're even born. Regardless of how people feel about the side issues like Abortion, or Gay Rights, or all the fluff that the media wants to peddle to divide people-the majority of the American people know what's up and don't like it.
